Following the brutal
massacre of fast rising artist damilola olaniyan ibrahim (aka) damino damoche, rumors
have been ongoing that more students have been murdered after this incident
which happened in front of the school gate. Our correspondent who was in lagos
state university (lasu) reports that there is no such killings in and outside
the school as the school is peaceful and the situation of things around the
school premises is very much under control.
The student union
president of the school, comrade agbomeji olatunji, 300l, disclosed that damino
damoche was murdered outside the school and not inside the school. “He was a
student of the school and people think he was not a student but a full time
musician. Rumors have it that he belonged to a faction but we have not been
able to prove that, if indeed he was a member and I can assure you that police
investigation is ongoing of which I pray that the culprits behind his murder
are caught and arraigned”. He also grumbled at the false pictures of dead
corpses going around with lasu tagged stories. “People hear of killings in other
places and they attribute these killings to lasu, whch is really unprofessional
of any journalist.” He added. The president also updated his facebook page as we coat “OVER time we have been pre-occupied with the
bombardment of new information, new fact, point of view that we have no time to
listen to the authenticity of these broadcast, furthermore all these broadcasts
are untraceable, much less of making judicious reckoning of it importance. The
university" OJO CAMPUS" is not residential which makes LASUITES
reside in some remote areas to the campus. It is pertinent to note that all
these environment( like IBA, PPL, OKOKOMAIKO, ADOLF, AKESAN,BADORE) among others
are not only dominated LASUITES but with other peoples even of different tribes
that are averagely educated...... Does that make everyone living in these areas
LASUITES. For your info, on friday morning a correspondent to a newspaper
called my mobile phone rhetorically " what is happening in LASU? "
while I responsed " respectfully kindly come to LASU if you truly you need
fact"... Funny enough I got something different in the on-line news. All
through this weekend I was gallantly on campus, peoples and students posting
false information about LASU have all left for various parents house since last
thursday... What part of the University have they had those snap shots?
Apologies to all newspapers correspondents, let's be careful about the
information we broadcast... Possibly we might meet in court, when passion
drives, please let reasons hold its rein. LASU PRODUCED FIFTEEN FIRST CLASS
STUDENTS which all these correspondents were unable to broadcast.... The
PRESIDENT Of LASU Students' Union/ Commitment Team....... Proudly LASUITES”
According to the
communication student association (cosa) president, comrade fatoyinbo Ibrahim,
400l, mass communication “it is normal to have misleading stories in newspapers
and the media at large because bad news spread faster than good news.”
All efforts to reach
the dpo of ojo police station proved abortive as we could not hear from him as
at press time.
