LASPOTECH SHUTS DOWN EXTERNAL CAMPUSES
Following the instruction of lagos state government, that all tertiary
institutions close down external campuses, Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH),
Ikorodu which is inclusive has complied to the instruction as revealed by the
rector of the institution dr Abdul Azeez Lawal while addressing journalist.
The rector, Abdul Azeez Lawal explained that the annexes no longer admit fresh students but still operates the external campus system in order to allow the current students complete their programmes respectively.
“We have complied with the directive of the lagos state government for closure of all external campuses. We have to manage the process carefully to allow students already in the programme to graduate. We have written to all our accredited representatives that all annexes are cancelled.” he said.
He also appreciated grants from tertiary trust funds (ttf) and the lagos state government, revealing that their grants have gone a long way in leading to full accreditation of 52 programmes the institution runs. `
