Female Student Shot To Death For Fighting Off Armed Robbers Who Tried To Molest Her

The escalating incidence of students shot dead by dare devil men of the underworld is frightening to say the least. And this is happening as government is busy fighting Boko Haram on all fronts while other evil vices seem to have taken over- as armed robbers, cultists, rapists and ritualists are having a field day unperturbed.
According to popular blogger Linda Ikeji, classmates and friends of the slain student sent the story to her. The student, Wunmi Adebayo, was shot at point blank last night when she went to visit a friend of hers in his house at Golden Estate in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.
The 200 level student was visiting the said friend when they were suddenly attacked by armed robbers who robbed them of their possessions and later shot Wunmi in the face because she fought them off as they attempted to rape her.
Her corpse has been deposited at the mortuary. Wunmi was the first child of her parents and friends say she was very jovial, friendly and kind hearted. Her candlelight procession will hold tomorrow at skyfield in Lagos.

OSAGIE ASSUMES OFFICE AS SHELL MD

A new Managing Director for Shell Petroleum Development Company, Mr. Osagie Okunbor, has assumed office, succeeding Mr. Mutiu Sunmonu, who retired on Saturday after 36 years of service. Fulani Herdsmen Kill 3, Burn Houses In Nasarawa

Three people were yesterday killed, while several houses were razed in some Tiv settlements in Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen. Among the three persons killed was Personal Assistant to the state Commissioner for Community and Rural Development, Mr. Godwin Mbatsav who was said to have met his untimely death at Abuni village, while searching for his wife who was among those displaced when some of the gunmen invaded the area. Eyewitnesses said the corpse of one of the victims, identified as James Orjime, had been deposited at Sandanji Hospital mortuary in Lafia. The third victim has also been identified as Mrs. Timbee Unzughul of Gidan Chiakaa of Jangaru ward in Awe Local Council.
