THE NEW FACE OFLASU

Lagos state university is a school in Nigeria that has lost its glory to hooliganism, thugery, and cultism. The institution has been in existence for over 28 years and has since over the years recorded few achievements. The institution is funded by the Lagos state government and the institution still generate fund from its several source of revenue. The school’s administration changed after a new vice chancellor was appointed. The new vice chancellor professor john oladapo obafunwa introduced new ideas and these ideas are gradually changing the school positively.

          Although these newly introduced ideas are capital intense and students of the school are being squeezed out or made to pay huge sum of money for tuition which make the general public grumble. It is an accentuated fact that the new vice chancellor is working effortlessly to transform the entire school and to ensure reduction of cultism, hooliganism, and thugery in and outside the school premises as new building are being erected and renovation of old building commence.

          A 400 level student of microbiology who identified himself as Adisa Ibrahim said that the school’s development is good, obvious and commendable. ‘’ Lagos state university is developing and doing fine. No doubt, these new development introduced by the vice chancellor is highly commendable’’. He concluded.

Suleiman Agigo Habib added that the lost glory of the school shall be regained. ‘’ the school is doing fine and if these developments continue, I know that the school’s lost glory shall be regained. He added. The school will in time come to become highly recognized school within and outside Africa if these developments are not hindered.
